Thoughts: Live….

Dear son/daughter

Here is another one from me. I really don’t know if I would be able to even show you these when I actually reach the age I think I would be when I would want to show you this. You might end up considering your old man a cook or a whacko by then (odds are high that you probably consider me one now!) and thus I just might be too embarrassed to share all this. But I guess for now I am ok and so I begin.

I have an overpowering urge to do everything in life. I know that by the time I get to the age I would be, I should have completed a few, but then again that might not be the case. But I know I would regret it if I ever realized that I didn’t do something I truly and surely wanted to.

Have fun in life! Life is too short for not doing all the things you want to do. Learn a language, learn to dance, learn to sing, watch movies, read books, try and paint, write a book, learn a musical instrument (Do chicks still dig guys who play the guitar?) do something wonderful with life…cause 40 years from now, you won’t be able to grasp the opportunities you had and you would never be able to realize how much possibility lay before you. Do it….all you want…and do it now!

I believe in one thing strongly. I don’t know if it’s a true or not but it would help you keep a positive outlook and make you believe that life is worth more than just existing. We all know that our great planet was created with a bang. The big bang is what they call it.

The universe expands and then it will collapse back on itself, it will then expand again. This process will go on forever – I believe it would. What you don’t know is that when the universe expands again: everything will be as it is now. Whatever mistakes you make this time around, be it things you did, or things you wish you did or things you always wished you hadn’t done, you will live through on your next pass. Every mistake you make, you will live through again & again, forever. So my advice to you is to get it right this time around. Because this time is all you have. So do everything you want in life, stretch to more than what you want, push yourself… not because there is no tomorrow, but because there is one!

Franklin Roosevelt said,” Above all, try something” and I guess that is what I am trying to inspire you with this.  Life is too short for regrets, too short for wondering and way too short to live it like a regime. Believe in yourself, you are all you want to be and you are all you dream and aspire to be. Stretch yourself and hold your head high……you are after all…MY child!

“Carpe Diem! Rejoice while you are alive; enjoy the day; live life to the fullest; make the most of what you have. It is later than you think”

Horarce (Roman Poet; 65BC – 8BC)

We have to leave a legacy for our children friend; it isn’t always gonna be easy..we might all have to play a little Atlas to pass on the good to our children. Keep going.
