Nolan incepts a cult!

Christopher Nolan is God…no director can ever take you through a maze of emotions, breathless and leave you gasping for more with the help of a motion picture. Be it Dark Knight, Memento, The Prestige or Inception we sit glued with a huge tub of popcorn and a large soda and are swept away in the grandness and a magnifique treat of visual cinema.

Inception is a world as unrestrained as vast as Gotham, the plot dwarfs the intricacies of Memento and which makes The Prestige’s grand scope and vision a thing of the past.

“What’s the most resilient parasite? An idea. A single idea from the human mind can build cities. An idea can transform the world and rewrite all the rules.”

The plot to sum is up, is all too straightforward. Cobb (Caprio) is an extractor in the world of corporate espionage, is one who can reach into a subject’s dream state and steal their secrets from their subconscious. The movie takes a twist from his ‘mundane’ espionage when he is told by Saito (Ken Watanabe) a wealthy businessman who decides to make use of Cobb’s skill to destroy his rival’s business by ‘planting’ a thought in his rival’s head aka Inception.

Cobb’s team which includes Arthur (Joseph Gordon-Levitt), Tom Hardy (Eames) a ‘forger’ and Yusuf (Dileep Rao) a sedate supplier along with Ariadne (Ellen Page) the ‘architect’, then team up to delve into a realm deep inside the subconscious of the subject, one Robert Fischer Jr (Cillian Murphy) and plant an idea there.

What goes on after that…words would fail to describe. A movie (which is aptly termed by the papers as “James Bond meets The Matrix”) takes you to levels of unrealism, fantasy and grandeur. The cinematography, the special effects can be described as “par excellence”. A ‘thrill-a-minute’ ride which keeps you at the edge of your seat and at the end all, of leaves you gasping for more.

The ending is a classic Nolan with the usual dark element in it. An Oscar winner for sure, and Nolan has done himself proud. Take a bow.

To conclude, I would just say before your life ends, treat yourself to a delight by watching this cult (or at least soon to be cult) classic created by Nolan! (Just to add on, brace yourself for Batman 3 due by him soon!)
